Health Care Week 2024
May 07, 2024 02:11 PM - Health Care Week is May 12-18, 2024, and it is a time to recognize YOU, our Saints in Action, and celebrate the exceptional health care experience you deliver to our patients every day.
Each of us has personal motivators that inspire us to "show up" for our patients and coworkers every day. This year's System-wide Health Care Week theme, "My Purpose, Our Mission," helps speak to the fact that we are each individuals who bring something to the whole as we work together toward our shared Mission, "Through our exceptional health care services, we reveal the healing presence of God."
During Health Care Week, know you are appreciated for the incredible work you do throughout the year. Please join us to take part in fun local activities and celebrations! System-wide opportunities will also be posted on MyNews.
MEDITATION MONDAY
Wear your Saints in Action T-shirt (sorry, no jeans!). T-shirts are available for purchase in Mother Odilia's Gift Shop located on the second floor of St. Anthony Hospital (just inside the west entrance). The uniform policy will otherwise remain in effect, so please speak with your manager if you're concerned about a T-shirt being appropriate for your role.

MEDITATION MONDAY
- No one can pour from an empty cup. It's important that we take time each day to reconnect with our own purpose -- what drives us to "be there" for ourselves, our families, our coworkers and our neighbors. Please take a moment to check out MyNews on Monday, May 13 for information and resources to help you achieve this in the workplace.
- Watch out for a fun online trivia quiz to test your SSM Health St. Anthony and Mission knowledge - it will be posted Tuesday morning to MyNews and available for participation through the end of Health Care Week (Saturday, May 18 at 11:59 pm CST).
- This year, our prize will be popular 40-oz Trek tumblers from Oklahoma-based brand SimpleModern. Winners will be notified via email and selected randomly from those individuals with the highest scores. Details for claiming prizes will be shared with winners when they are notified. Winners will be identified from St. Anthony Hospital (2), Bone & Joint Hospital, the Medical Group (2) and each Healthplex location.
- We're excited to introduce our first-ever video dance contest for Saints in Action team members! Launched two weeks in advance, the deadline for submissions will be Wednesday, May 15.

GOURMET DESSERT THURSDAY
It isn't Health Care Week without Gourmet Dessert Day! Check out how you can access sweet treats at your location:
- St. Anthony Hospital + Medical Group in Midtown (Grab-and-Go)
- LOCATION: St. Francis Conference Room (main hospital 2nd floor, just east of cafeteria)
- Night Shift: Wednesday, May 15 from 10:30 pm-midnight
- Day Shift: Thursday, May 16 from 2-4 pm
- LOCATION: St. Francis Conference Room (main hospital 2nd floor, just east of cafeteria)
- Bone & Joint Hospital
- LOCATION: Joint Center Common Area (2nd Floor)
- Day Shift: Thursday, May 16 from 2-4 pm
- Night Shift: Treats will be distributed via House Supervisor.

- Healthplex Locations and Off-Site Medical Group Clinics
- Desserts will be distributed via managers.
