Celebrating our exceptional 2023 Mission in Motion winners

At SSM Health, we are committed to ensuring our patients and customers experience exceptional service in every encounter, whether it’s on the phone, online, or in person. This is our Mission and who we are. In this spirit, the Mission in Motion Awards were created to recognize the exceptional team members who embody our Mission and Values in their unmistakable commitment to revealing God’s healing presence.
In 2023, after countless employees nominated their peers from across the system, 41 extraordinary team members were honored with this award during Mission and Heritage Week. This MyNews series highlights these winners from across the system. Get to know these team members who bring kindness and care to our patients, families, neighbors and each other, revealing the healing presence of God.
This week’s Mission in Motion winner is Holly McMillin, RN, SSM Health St. Clare Hospital - Baraboo, for being recognized for living SSM Health’s Mission every day. Here's what her colleagues say about Holly.
“We are so very blessed to have Holly in our Emergency Department. As one of my friends journeyed through cancer, we got to know and see Holly's passion for our Mission. She took the time and get to know my friend not only as a patient but as a mom, friend, widow, and child. Between visits when our paths would cross, the first thing Holly would ask is, "How's our girl?" My friend’s biggest fear of going to the ED was who would be caring for her, but her anxiety eased knowing it would be Holly. When the end was near, Holly's kindness and compassion again shined through as we all felt the respect and compassion that was built throughout this difficult time. We are so blessed to have Holly in our ED looking out for our patients.”
