SSM Breast Care at St. Mary’s Health Center participates in the American Cancer Society's Reach to Recovery program, which connects women undergoing breast cancer treatment at St. Mary's Health Center with women who have survived breast cancer.
The Susan G. Komen For the Cure
Through a grant from the Komen Foundation, SSM Breast Care offers free mammograms through the Empower and Engage program to women whose insurance does not cover the vital screenings. Women age 40 and older who do not have insurance to cover mammograms are eligible. Empower and Engage participants receive a clinical breast exam, a mammogram and breast-health education with SSM Breast Care professionals. Call 314-768-8697 for more information.
Karen Weidinger Foundation The Karen Weidinger Foundation is a 501(c)3 foundation. It is located in St. Charles, Missouri and fully-staffed by volunteers. Their focus is bringing breast cancer awareness to our community, as well as providing compassion for those currently undergoing breast cancer treatments in St. Charles and surrounding counties. Every dollar that is raised stays in our community.
