For Physicians and Professionals

SSM St. Mary's Health Center features a Single Access Line for referring physicians to quickly and efficiently assist their high-risk patients’ needs with one phone call. If you need to refer a patient for maternal-fetal medicine consultations or appointments or arrange for Maternal Transport to SSM St. Mary's Health Center, you can call the Single Access Line any time to speak with us directly. High-Risk Monitoring at SSM St. Mary's

At SSM St. Mary’s, we offer remote fetal monitoring to allow physicians to watch high-risk pregnancy patients in our Intensive Care Unit while the physicians themselves work in Labor and Delivery. This allows Labor and Delivery physicians to closely monitor vital signs for patients who are not on the Labor and Delivery floor.

C-section/vaginal delivery after c-section

At SSM Maternity Care, we provide vaginal delivery after C-section if you and your patient decide that this is the best method.

Perinatal outreach

The Perinatal Outreach program of SSM St. Mary’s Health Center and SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center is designed to improve outcomes for mothers and babies through educational programs and quality improvement activities for regional perinatal care providers. The Perinatal Outreach program collaborates with Saint Louis University School of Medicine’s Division of Neonatology and Department of Maternal-Fetal Medicine to offer educational programs across eastern Missouri and southern Illinois. These programs include courses in fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, the S.T.A.B.L.E. program and a series of classes on intrapartum nursing. For more information about educational programs for perinatal care providers, please call Perinatal Outreach at (314) 577-5317.
