We understand that having family and loved ones around at such a special time is important. We strive to be as accommodating as possible while also promoting plenty of rest for Mom and Baby.
Specific visitor guidelines for each facility are as follows:
SSM DePaul Health Center: Guests are allowed to visit mom and the new baby from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Dad, of course, is always welcome. The visiting hours are not restricted during labor; however, children shouldn’t visit during labor and delivery.
SSM St. Clare Health Center: Family and friends are always invited to visit. There are no age restrictions for visiting children. (However, only healthy children should visit newborns.)
SSM St. Joseph Health Center: Significant others can visit anytime. Others are encouraged to visit between noon and 8 p.m. to allow mom and baby plenty of time for rest.
SSM St. Joseph Hospital West: We recommend that friends and family who want to see the mom and baby visit between noon and 8 p.m. to allow plenty of time for rest.
SSM St. Mary’s Health Center: Family and friends are encouraged to visit between 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., but a significant other may visit at anytime.
