Sunset Hills, Mo. (Jan. 4, 2010) –The SSM Imaging Center, located at 3825 S. Lindbergh Blvd., has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation following a survey by the American College of Radiology (ACR). SSM Health Care acquired the center – formerly Midwest Medical Associates – earlier this year. The center operates as a service of SSM St. Clare Health Center.
The ACR, headquartered in Reston, Va., accredits facilities that have achieved high practice standards, as determined by a peer-review evaluation. Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. They assess the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of the facility equipment, and report their findings to the ACR’s Committee of Accreditation.
The SSM center, specializing in outpatient MRI and CT imaging, offers convenient access and parking for patients. Same-day appointments are available Monday through Friday and test results are provided the next business day.
