SSM Cancer Care recently welcomed radiation oncologist Vincent Joe, MD to its growing number of medical specialties on the campus of SSM St. Clare Health Center. To contact Dr. Joe at his St. Clare office, please call 636/496-4600.
Before joining SSM Cancer Care, Dr. Joe had been a staff radiation oncologist at Christian Hospital NE since 2000, serving as department chief there since 2003. He earned his medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and did his residency training at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Dr. Joe started the IMRT/IGRT program at Christian Hospital NE. He has been running the tumor board there for the past few years, and was a member of the Medical Executive Committee from 2005 to 2008. He is board certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Joe will work in the Radiation Oncology department on the St. Clare Health Center campus which offers the next step in state-of-the-art patient care; IGRT or Image Guided Radiation Therapy allows doctors to target tumors more accurately.
“Our focus is on patient care and we center the patient’s treatment to their situation and needs,” explains Dr. Joe. “We take the whole patient in to account when we develop their treatment plan.”
Dr. Joe’s office is on the SSM St. Clare Health Center campus at 1011 Bowles Avenue, Suite G50 in Fenton.
