SSM Celebrates National EMS Week with Some Healthy Competition 

SSM DePaul Health Center Sponsors 6th Annual Softball Tournament for area EMS workers, Firefighters and Police

WHAT: The Sixth Annual Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Softball Tournament, sponsored by SSM DePaul Health Center, is a day for EMS workers, firefighters and police across the St. Louis metropolitan area to earn Bragging Rights!  It begins with the uniforms… each team competing to win the ‘Best Tee Shirt’ competition, and ends with a golden trophy that is taken from the previous winner’s hands.  The tournament includes fun for the entire family with a DJ adding music, food provided by DePaul Health Center, and a Kiddie Korner complete with face painting and fun activities.
 
WHO: 16 Co-ed Teams:  Emergency Medical Services (EMS) employees from Pattonville, Florissant, Hazelwood, West Overland, Robertson, St. Charles City, Monarch, University City, Ladue, Christian, Gateway, Frontenac, and also the DePaul Emergency Department, St. Louis County Police, Maryland Heights Fire District, and a Community team.

WHY: To honor National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, May 16 through May 22, SSM DePaul Health Center sponsors a softball tournament each year to honor and recognize area EMS employees and their hard work.
