ST. LOUIS, MO - The SSM DePaul Medical Group is pleased to announce the addition of board certified family physician Heather O’Toole, MD. “Although I have enjoyed my experiences as a military physician and then serving a Southwestern community for the past seven years, I am excited to move back to the Midwest to be closer to my family,” O’Toole stated. “I feel my familiarity with different cultures and types of practices will be invaluable in providing quality healthcare to my new patients.”
Dr. O’Toole joins the Medical Group with seven years of family medicine experience, most recently from Southwest Family Practice Clinic in Goodyear, Arizona where she practiced as a family physician since 2006. Prior to that, she worked as a family medicine provider at Luke Air Force Base, where she achieved the rank of Major. Dr. O’Toole also served as an emergency department physician for Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Missouri.
Dr. O’Toole received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. She completed her family practice residency at University of Missouri – Kansas City, where she also completed her obstetric/c-section track training at the same hospital. She has received many honors, including the Air Force Commendation for Meritorious Service, WOW Award for Excellence in Patient Care, Resident Teacher Award, and Chief Resident.
Like all DePaul Medical Group physicians, Dr. O’Toole will offer MyChart® to her patients. MyChart is a complimentary Internet application that provides convenient, secure, online access to your personal health record with the intent of improving communication with your physician and creating a better health care system.
As a fully trained family physician, Dr. O’Toole offers services for patients of all ages, including but not limited to:
· preventive care and check-ups, including immunizations; school, work and sports physicals and gynecological exams
· identification and management of acute problems
· identification and management of chronic diseases
· minor surgical and dermatologic procedures
· women’s healthcare
