Moussa Elbayoumy comes from Aria Health in Philadelphia
RICHMOND HEIGHTS, MO – Moussa Elbayoumy, joined SSM Health Care ― St. Louis on May 31 as the Director of Business Development for SSM St. Mary’s Health Center and SSM Heart Institute. Elbayoumy brings an extensive background in health care business development, specifically in cardiovascular services.
Elbayoumy will work closely with the new president of SSM St. Mary’s Health Center, who will be announced this fall, to drive volumes for the hospital and the SSM Heart Institute service line. SSM Heart Institute is based at all adult SSM Health Care – St. Louis hospitals including SSM St. Mary’s Health Center, SSM St. Clare Health Center, SSM DePaul Health Center, SSM St. Joseph Health Center and SSM St Joseph Hospital West.

Thus far in 2011, SSM Heart Institute began offering around-the-clock cardiac interventions at SSM St Joseph Hospital West , started Impella procedures to help high-risk cardiac catheterization patients, began wrist-entry angioplasty, and recruited an electrophysiologist to enhance care for electrical problems of the heart. Further, SSM St. Mary’s Health Center remains a leader in heart-attack care with more than 30 consecutive months of unclogging heart arteries with door-to-balloon times of less than 90 minutes – the gold standard of care. This performance remains unmatched in the region.
SSM St. Mary’s Health Center is also in an exciting phase of progressive growth with more than $20 million invested in the hospital and technology in the last two years, attracting an ever-expanding list of leading physicians. Prior to joining SSM Health Care ― St. Louis, Elbayoumy served as the Cardiovascular Service Line Director for Aria Health, a three-hospital system based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also consulted on business development for medical centers in Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emarates as well as serving as Assistant Vice President of Heart and Vascular Services at Adventist HealthCare, a 25-hospital system based in Rockville, Maryland.
