ST. LOUIS, MO – John “Jay” Moore, MD, will become the new Chief Medical Officer/Executive Director of Medical Affairs for SSM DePaul Health Center beginning in September.
Dr. Moore is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Pediatrics and currently serves as a member of the St. Charles Clinic Medical Group, in Wentzville, Missouri, and as Medical Director of Quality and Process Improvement for SSM Physicians’ Organization. He is a past member of the Medical Executive Committee at SSM St. Joseph Health Center and SSM St. Joseph Hospital West. Dr. Moore is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and MGMA.

In addition, Dr. Moore acted as a CQI Plus Project Team Leader and successfully led SSM Physicians’ Organization through training and implementation of EPIC - a complete electronic medical record system. He developed and implemented a Quality Incentive Program in cooperation with Mercy Health Plans for the SSM Physicians’ Organization, and led the team to develop a system-wide vendor relations policy limiting influence of pharmaceutical and device manufacturer representatives on practicing physicians.
Dr. Moore is originally from Columbus, Mississippi. His residency training includes Chief Resident – Pediatrics, and Resident Physician – Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, from the University of Missouri.
