ST. CHARLES, MO – Yelena Podorozhansky, MD, who joined Dr. Igor Brondz in the practice of obstetrics and gynecology with SSM St. Charles Clinic Medical Group last year, is now providing health care for women at three St. Charles locations: on New Town Boulevard at Hwy 370; on the campus of SSM St. Joseph Health Center in downtown St. Charles; and at the Medical Group’s offices on Wall Street, just off of Hawks Nest and Zumbehl Road.
Dr. Podorozhansky completed her ob/gyn residency at SSM St. Mary's Health Center, where she was the academic chief resident. Both her undergraduate and medical degrees were earned at the University of Missouri—Kansas City, where she participated in the prestigious accelerated program that combines both degrees in six years. Dr. Podorozhansky was also on tennis scholarship at UMKC.
Dr. Podorozhansky is a Junior Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology and is board eligible. She is on the fast track to take her board examinations a full year early. Her presentation to the St. Louis Gynecologic Society last year was among those recognized to be the best.
Known as “Dr. P” to her co-workers and patients alike, Dr. Podorozhansky was born in Russia and is fluent in Russian, though she's spent the majority of her life in the St. Louis area.
