 Glennon Card delivers for shoppers and kids in 2011 inaugural year

ST. LOUIS – The Cardinal Glennon Children's Foundation and the Glennon Guild announced today that more than 1,300 Glennon Cards were sold in its 2011 inaugural year. The Glennon Guild is a 400-member women’s organization founded to support the interests and growth of SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center and the many children it serves.

The Glennon Card is a shopping and dining card program entitling card purchasers to a 20 percent discount at more than 225 shops, restaurants and spas in the St. Louis metro area. Cards were sold by Guild members and select retailers leading up to the 10-day shopping period of Oct. 28 to Nov. 6, raising a total of $65,000. Proceeds from the sales of the 2011 Glennon Card will directly benefit the Transport Team and the Knights of Columbus Developmental Center at SSM Cardinal Glennon.

Glennon Card Days for 2012 are scheduled for Oct. 26 to Nov. 4.  Glennon Cards will be available for purchase in September at glennoncard.org and at participating retailers during Glennon Card days.
