RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Mo. - Neurologist Jacqueline Kraus, MD, PhD, has joined the SSM Neurosciences Institute at St. Mary’s Health Center in Richmond Heights, Mo. 
Dr. Kraus provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services to address diseases that affect the brain and nervous system. She serves as the new medical director of SSM St. Mary’s stroke program. She has special interest in treating patients with neuro-endovascular diseases such as stroke, brain aneurysms, brain and facial arteriovenous malformation (AVMs), and headaches.
Dr. Kraus is board certified in neurology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. She received her PhD in anatomy and cell biology from the University of Iowa, where she also received her medical degree and fulfilled her neurology residency. She completed her fellowship in neuro-critical care and neuro-trauma at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in Michigan, with additional training in anesthesia critical care at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.
In 2003, Dr. Kraus joined the neurology department at Wayne State University, where she served as a neuro-critical care attending physician. In 2007, Dr. Kraus served as the medical director of the neurosciences intensive care unit at Providence Hospital in Michigan. She then went on to complete an endovascular surgical neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Dr. Kraus joins fellow neurologists Sherif AL-Hawarey, MD, and Bingzhong Chen, MD, PhD, as well as neurosurgeon Gregory Bailey, MD, in practice at SSM St. Mary’s Health Center.
