Safe care: What to expect from your visit

Whether you're due for an important health screening or experiencing a medical emergency, we stand ready to provide the safe, high-quality and personalized care you've come to expect from SSM Health. Our exceptional healthcare team is committed to safely resuming the care you need.

Patients should not be hesitant to contact their physician for any health care concerns – or to go to the hospital in emergency situations.

Delays in care can cause providers to miss the window for early detection and ultimately lead to a diagnosis that’s more advanced. That’s why it’s even more necessary to keep up with your health check-ups, vaccinations and visit with your provider if you have any questions about your health.

“We know some people are delaying essential care due to fear of infection but the time to wait has passed,” said Matt Hanley, MD, SSM Health Chief Clinical Officer. “While it’s natural to be concerned, not seeking care could negatively impact their overall health and well-being. We want our patients and communities to know they can safely seek medical care and still protect themselves.”

“All of our SSM Health facilities are safe places where you and your family can access quality care during this time,” Hanley added. “We continue to protect everyone who enters our facilities through multiple protocols including visitor restrictions, screening and keeping up with our enhanced cleaning procedures.”
