Preventing Heart Disease
Watching your weight and modifying your diet are just two steps you can take to reduce your risk of heart disease.
Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
Medical nutrition therapy (MNT) can help manage health conditions, including:
- Diabetes
- Celiac disease (gluten intolerance)
- Heart disease risk
- Hypertension or high blood pressure
- Elevated cholesterol
- Food allergies and sensitivities
- Digestive disorders

Services We Provide
Dietitians provide nutrition counseling on low-cholesterol and low-fat diets, consistent with the National Cholesterol Education Program guidelines. Patients with high cholesterol and/or triglyceride levels are encouraged to meet with a dietitian.
Our dietitians work closely with referring physicians and diabetes nurse specialists to assist those with diabetes in modifying their diet to maintain good blood glucose levels. Our dietitians also offer classed focused on providing knowledge and skills in diabetes self-management.
Dietitians work closely with primary care physicians and referring specialists, including our Comprehensive Weight Management Program, to help individuals develop skills to achieve and maintain a healthy weight.
