Not all emergency rooms are equal. SSM DePaul has the latest technology and specially trained physicians and nurses who can respond to any level of health care need, ranging from a minor cut to a life threatening circumstance. Our Emergency Department (ED) physicians have completed a residency program specifically in emergency medicine. DePaul holds the distinction of being the only state-designated Level II Trauma Center in North County. We also offer Glennon Care for Kids, with the expertise of nationally renowned Glennon Care physicians and nurses, located within our ED, to provide emergency care for children up to age 12.
The Emergency Department at DePaul has recently undergone a $10.3 million expansion and renovation project to help us meet the growing demand from the communities we serve.
