Number of years volunteering at St. Clare: I started in October of 2022.
Why do you choose to volunteer at St. Clare Hospital-Baraboo? I have wanted to get back into visiting patients, especially caring for their spiritual needs and St. Clare Hospital has a warm community feel for each patient, staff and volunteer.
What area do you volunteer in at the hospital? Pastoral Care Department .
What is your favorite part of volunteering at St. Clare? Spending time one on one with each patient, just being present and letting them know they are important and that someone cares about them, especially those who have no family or loved ones close enough to be able to be there with them.
What do you enjoy doing outside of your volunteer activities? I like photography, quilting/sewing, and scrapbooking. I love to garden, planting roses or vegetables, or just putting my hands in the dirt.
What would you tell someone who is thinking of volunteering at St. Clare? I have told several people about St. Clare, and the wonderful volunteer opportunities here. I share with them how warm and caring ALL of the staff are here.
