How do I apply?
You may search for and apply to positions for SSM Health Care – St. Louis facilities on our employment website.

I am an SSM Health Care employee, how do I apply for a transfer?
To apply for a transfer, you will need to login into your account on the Career Opportunities page and apply for the position of interest. For specific information on the process of applying for a transfer, please visit the STAR Recruitment page on the SSMSTL Intranet and review the document, “Tips on looking at transfer opportunities within SSM.”

What is the status of my application?
When an application is received, qualifications are thoroughly evaluated and reviewed in relationship to positions available. If we have a position that matches your qualifications, you will be contacted by the STAR Recruitment Team for an interview, either by phone or email. Due to the large numbers of applications we receive, we can not contact each applicant individually if they are not selected for interviews.

How do I apply for a clinical license in Missouri?

I have been away from hospital nursing for a while, how do I get back in?
This is evaluated on an individual education need basis. The Clinical Nursing Institute has a refresher course. They may be reached at (314) 996-5266.

I am having trouble applying online. How can I get help?
We have computers set up at each human resource department located at the SSM Health Care – St. Louis hospitals and welcome you to come by and apply. You may also go to any one of the area libraries or job centers for computer access.

I don’t have a resume. Is one required?
A resume is not required, but strongly recommended.

Should I complete a new profile for each additional job if I want to apply?There is no need to complete an additional profile. Our system allows you to use your one profile to apply for multiple jobs by logging into your account under “login.

Who should I contact regarding the status of my submission?
Once you apply for a job, you will receive an automatic e-mail response to confirm that we have been notified of your interest. If it is determined that you are a candidate, the STAR Recruitment Team will contact you by phone or e-mail to discuss your skills in detail or to schedule an interview.

What happens if I forget my password?
If you have forgotten your password, click on “login” and then scroll down to the bottom of the page. Enter your e-mail address and answer the security question (this is a question you set up when you create your Profile). Once this is completed, you will be given the opportunity to reset your password. Login

I don’t have an e-mail address. Is one required?
An e-mail address is required to apply online. If you do not have an e-mail address, there are several providers available that offer free e-mail accounts including hotmail, yahoo, and gmail. Please note that SSM Health Care has no association with your selection of e-mail provider, nor do we endorse any particular provider.

What is a “Job Agent”?
A job agent will allow you set up key-word and other search criteria for newly posted jobs. Whenever we have an opening that matches your criteria, you are automatically notified via email and provided a link to the job details. They will remain active on our Career Center for 90 days from the time they are last updated. To create a Job Agent,  simply login to your account and select “My JobAgent.”

What happens if a job becomes available for which I am qualified but haven’t applied for yet?
You can use the job agent function to be notified by e-mail when job titles are posted containing key words and other search criteria you select. In addition, as new positions become available, you may be included in searches conducted by the STAR Recruitment Team as they search for candidates who meet the skills, competencies and qualifications for new, open positions.
 
My Telephone number and address have changed.  How can I update this information?
You may update your profile at any time by logging in under “Login.” You may then make changes to your information by selecting “Edit Profile.” Once you have entered your new information, click on "Save" at the bottom of the page and then confirm and save your information. Changes are updated in our database immediately. Login

Do you accept paper or faxed applications or resumes?
At this time we do not accept paper or faxed applications or resumes.  Currently, we only accept profiles and resumes on our website.
