Wait at home, not at the hospital.Holding your place in line at the ER is easy – just choose your hospital, select a projected treatment time, fill out a simple form, then relax comfortably at home until it’s time to go to the ER. This is a FREE service offered by SSM Health Care - St. Louis.

FOR A LIFE-THREATENING EMERGENCY, CALL 911 OR GO TO THE NEAREST EMERGENCY ROOM IMMEDIATELY.
Who should use this service? This service is for non-life and non-limb threatening conditions only. You should not use this service if you have a condition and/or illness that includes symptoms such as chest pain; shortness of breath; severe abdominal pain symptoms of a stroke such as dizziness, weakness, vision disturbance or severe headaches. Anyone experiencing these symptoms should call 911 or immediately go to the nearest emergency room. This service is also not appropriate for patients who are under age 2; patients who are pregnant; or patients in need of psychiatric care.
A nurse will call you for ER registrations.Each patient who signs up online will receive a phone call from a nurse acknowledging that we received your request and verifying that the illness is appropriate for this service. Anyone who has symptoms suggesting an illness or condition that may be life and/or limb threatening will be directed to call 911 or to go to the nearest emergency room immediately.
NOTE: For patients 2 years and older, you may use InQuicker online to hold your place at an SSM Cardinal Glennon emergency location within any of the five SSM hospitals, except SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center on Grand Blvd. At our main campus on Grand Blvd., we are committed to seeing your child within 30 minutes of arrival based on his/her condition.
