SSM St. Joseph Hospital West has received full Cycle II accreditation status from the Society of Chest Pain Centers. Chest pain and cardiac diagnostic services at SSM St. Joseph Hospital West are part of the network of services offered by the SSM Heart Institute in the St. Louis area.
A new diagnostic cardiac catheterization lab opened at St. Joseph Hospital West in December 2008. This new lab gives SSM Heart Institute cardiologists a state-of-the-art look at the heart so that blockages and other problems can be detected.
