Information for Visitors
Our chaplains are available seven days a week from 8 am - 4 pm, offering a listening presence, spiritual support and pastoral assistance in a health care crisis. In addition to our regular daily hours, there is a chaplain on-call 24 hours a day for emergency pastoral needs.

When you need a chaplain, please contact your nurse, or dial “0” and ask the operator to contact a chaplain for you.

- Assisting you in coping with fear, anxiety, and grief
- Providing Sacraments and other religious rituals
- Discussing advance directives and power of attorney for health care
Sacraments & Church Support
Holy Communion and Anointing of the Sick are available upon request. We encourage you to contact your own priest or minister before you go to the hospital, or when you are admitted if it is an unexpected hospitalization, so your own church may support you as well.
The Chapel
The SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake St. Louis Chapel is located off of the main lobby across from the lobby/registration. The chapel is open 24 hours daily.
Our gift shop is located on the lobby level of the hospital, just inside the front entrance. Here you’ll find a variety of unique gift items, greeting cards, and a full-service florist, as well as snacks and miscellaneous toiletry items you may have forgotten.

The Papin Street Café
The Papin Street Café is located on the Ground Floor. From the north entrance, follow the corridor until you reach the elevators at the end of the hall way. Take the elevator down to the ground floor and you will be let off right in front of the café.

Breakfast: 6:45 am – 9:30 am
Lunch: 11 am – 1:45 pm
Dinner: 5 pm – 7 pm
Late Night Service: 10 pm – Midnight
Saturday & Sunday Hours
Breakfast: 7:30 am – 9:30 am
Lunch: 11:15 am – 1:45 pm
Dinner: 5 pm – 6:30 pm
The café is open at additional times for grab-and-go food and beverages.
Vending Machines
Vending machines are located in the following areas:
- Lower level of the H.W. Koenig Medical Building
- Family lounge, 2nd floor
- Ground floor, next to the cafeteria
Healing Grounds Café
The Healing Grounds Café is located in the North Lobby. From the North Entrance, the cafe will be on your right. From the South Entrance follow the cooridor until you reach the Southeast Elevators, then turn right. Follow that cooridor until you reach the North Lobby.

Accessible parking is available in the north, south and west parking lots as well as directly outside of the emergency department.
