Established in 1986, SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis offers residents of western St. Charles, Lincoln, and Warren Counties exceptional health care close to home. Our 216-bed hospital is a state-designated Level III Trauma Center, a Level II Time Critical Diagnosis STEMI Center and specializes in obstetric and pediatric care, as well as many other specialties.

We are a Level III Trauma Center and a Level II Time Critical Diagnosis STEMI Center and our pediatric emergency specialists are on staff from SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.

Visitation hours are from 8 am - 8 pm. Compassionate care exceptions may be made with permission of the nursing leader. We recognized that you are a vital partner in the healing of your loved one and invite you to visit to support their recovery goals.
Visitor Guidelines
SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis and SSM Health Medical Group have updated our visitor policy to:
- SSM Health has discontinued its universal masking policy.
- Masks are no longer required, with the exception of those who have known or suspected COVID-19 or other upper respiratory symptoms.
- Patients will continue to be screened for upper respiratory symptoms, and masks will be provided for those who need one.
- We support patients and visitors who choose to wear a mask.

As a Nationally Certified Safe Sleep Hospital, SSM Health St. Louis area hospitals are recognized for following the safe sleep guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and providing training programs for healthcare team members, and family caregivers.
Helpful Hospital Resources
Our chaplains are available seven days a week from 8 am - 4 pm, offering a listening presence, spiritual support and pastoral assistance in a health care crisis. In addition to our regular daily hours, there is a chaplain on-call 24 hours a day for emergency pastoral needs.

Sacraments & Church Support
Holy Communion and Anointing of the Sick are available upon request. We encourage you to contact your own priest or minister before you go to the hospital, or when you are admitted if it is an unexpected hospitalization, so your own church may support you as well.
The Chapel
The SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake St. Louis Chapel is located off of the main lobby across from the lobby/registration. The chapel is open 24 hours daily.
Our gift shop is located on the lobby level of the hospital, just inside the front entrance. Here you’ll find a variety of unique gift items, greeting cards, and a full-service florist, as well as snacks and miscellaneous toiletry items you may have forgotten.

The Papin Street Café
The Papin Street Café is located on the Ground Floor. From the north entrance, follow the corridor until you reach the elevators at the end of the hall way. Take the elevator down to the ground floor and you will be let off right in front of the café.

Healing Grounds Café
The Healing Grounds Café is located in the North Lobby. From the North Entrance, the cafe will be on your right. From the South Entrance follow the cooridor until you reach the Southeast Elevators, then turn right. Follow that cooridor until you reach the North Lobby.
