ST. CHARLES, MO (January 12, 2022) – SSM Health is pleased to announce Jake Brooks as the new President of St. Joseph Hospitals in St. Charles and Wentzville.
Jake has served as Vice President of Operations for our St. Charles & Wentzville ministries since July 2020 and will assume his new role Jan. 16. He began his career with SSM Health in 2014 as Physician Services Manager for our pediatric and maternity service lines. He also served as Director of Ambulatory Business Operations for SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
Jake has led St. Joseph Hospital to many successes including cost-savings initiatives, increased utilization of operating room spaces, construction projects of the pharmacy and sterile processing department, and the forthcoming expansions of the pain center, urgent care and addition of ambulatory surgery at SSM Health Outpatient Center on Kisker Road.
“I have such gratitude for my mentors and the amazing team of providers, staff, friends and my family who have helped me achieve a goal that seemed like only a dream,” Jake said. “It will be my honor to serve as president of our St. Joseph Hospital ministries in St. Charles and Wentzville. I am looking forward to driving our legacy into the next phase so we can continue serving our community with the most exceptional patient care possible.”
Jake received his Master of Business Administration from Webster University and attended Southeast Missouri State University for undergraduate education. He has a background in athletic training and sports medicine and resides in Hillsboro with his family. Jake also spends time volunteering with organizations such as Home Sweet Home, Focus St. Louis, The Jefferson Barracks VA Medical Center and the St. Louis Veteran Wheelchair Games.
We also extend our gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Doug Barton who has been serving as Interim President in addition to his role as Chief Medical Officer. He will continue to bring his invaluable guidance and leadership as part of our campus executive team.
