SSM Heart Institute at St. Clare Health Center

With five convenient locations across St. Louis and more than 100 cardiologists, electrophysiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons, SSM Heart Institute offers multiple approaches and a wide range of options for comprehensive heart care.

In fact, more people choose SSM Heart Institute for high quality heart care than any other heart program in the region. We treat a host of problems that affect the heart – coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, valvular disease, atrial fibrillation and peripheral artery disease, among others.

As one of the sites of the SSM Heart Institute, St. Clare offers dedicated physicians, advanced treatments and technology, leading-edge techniques, electronic health records and unparalleled experience.

Our doctors are leaders in innovation and experience and perform the following types of procedures:

  • Pacemaker placements & cardiovascular defibrillator implants
  • Minimally invasive valve repair and replacement
  • Coronary artery bypass graft surgery
  • Maze surgery for atrial fibrillation

Dr. Seiichi Noda has earned national recognition for his work with off-pump bypass heart surgery, which allows the heart to continue beating during surgery instead of using the heart-lung machine.

Dr. Noda and a number of other leading cardiothoracic surgeons and cardiologists have offices in the St. Francis Building, 1055 Bowles Ave., on the St. Clare campus. To find a heart specialist with the SSM Heart Institute, call 1-866-SSM-DOCS.

Cardiopulmonary Rehab services require a physician’s order for participation. Our staff of registered nurses and exercise physiologists works with each patient individually to develop a fitness regiment that fits the participant’s goal.
