SSM Imaging at St. Clare provides you access to the most comprehensive suite of imaging services in southwest St. Louis. 

The most advanced diagnostic testing is essential for early detection and appropriate treatment. Our current services include:

• 3 Tessla MRI – the most powerful MRI scanner available today
• Open MRI – this provides an open design for patients uncomfortable in the tunnel of a traditional MRI
• 16-slice CT scanner – a dedicated outpatient scanner
• 64-slice CT scanner – this scanner enables radiologists to examine areas as small as one-half millimeter
• PET/CT – Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography combines two imaging technologies into one test, offering the most advanced tools to identify cancer and heart disease
• Ultrasound – uses high-frequency sound waves to look at organs and structures inside the body
• X-ray – involves exposing a part of the body to a small dose of radiation to produce pictures of the inside of the body.
• Nuclear medicine – radiopharmaceuticals  are taken orally or through an IV, then gamma cameras outside the body capture and form images from the radiation

SSM Imaging at St. Clare also performs interventional radiology procedures, such as insertion of long-term IV (PICC line).
