R. William (Bill) Hoefer

R. William (Bill) Hoefer is president of SSM St. Clare Health Center, a 174-bed hospital in Fenton, Mo., and service line executive for the SSM Neurosciences Institute, a major specialty-focused medical service for SSM Health Care - St. Louis. Before joining St. Clare in 2012, Hoefer spent 16 years with Sentara Healthcare in Norfolk, Va., a non-profit, 10-hospital system located throughout Virginia and North Carolina, including four years as vice president of operations for Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a 543-bed tertiary care facility. Hoefer is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Mary Brobst, RN, MSN
Executive Director of Nursing
A nurse for more than 20 years, Brobst oversees all patient care in the 174-bed SSM St. Clare. Brobst formerly led The Family Birthplace and the St. Clare Pilot Unit at St. Joseph Hospital of Kirkwood. The pilot unit – a nursing unit in which new patient care processes were trialed and refined – paved the way for SSM St. Clare. Under her leadership, patient satisfaction on both units consistently was above the 90th percentile.

Brobst earned a master’s degree in nursing from St. Louis University and is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration from Webster University. She has co-chaired the hospital’s Ethics committee for the past several years and serves on the board of directors for the YMCA and the Fenton Chamber of Commerce.

Timothy Pratt, MD
Executive Director-Medical Affairs
Chief Medical Officer
Tim Pratt, a board-certified physician in internal medicine and geriatrics, has served as chief medical officer of St. Joseph Hospital of Kirkwood/St. Clare Health Center since 2008.

Dr. Pratt received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Vanderbilt University and a medical degree from Tulane Medical School. He completed postgraduate work in internal medicine at St. Louis University Hospitals.

Dr. Pratt has been a member of the Kirkwood Medical Group LLC since 1991. His interests include preventative medicine.

Outside of work, he is active with the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association, a group that provides an opportunity for high school students to play summer baseball in a competitive, but supportive environment.i
