St. Joseph Senior Dental Clinic
The St. Joseph Senior Dental Clinic is located in the Senior Services area of St. Joseph Health Center. The clinic opened in 2001  after senior citizens and caregivers cited dental care as their largest heathcare need. The center serves residents of St. Charles, Warren and Lincoln Counties.

Since the clinic’s opening, volunteer dentists have treated more than 6,000 low-income seniors who could not otherwise afford care. Transportation is provided for those living in the community, or in residential or long-term care facilities.

Our mission at the St. Joseph Senior Dental Clinic is to improve the quality of life for seniors living in St. Charles, Warren and Lincoln counties through preventative and restorative dental care. We are making a difference in the lives of clinic patients.
Qualifications for the program include the following:

  • ALL patients must live within the 3 counties served: St. Charles, Warren or Lincoln counties
  • Be over 60 years old and have annual income of less than $26,000 if living alone or $35,000 if living with one other person
  • Or be living in a nursing home and either Medicaid eligible or within the same guidelines as above

Some other special circumstances can be handled on an individual basis.

Older Adult Outreach and Education Programs
SSM St. Joseph Senior Services is dedicated to improving the health and quality of life for adults in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties, age 50 and older.  As people live longer, more emphasis is placed on staying mentally and physically active at all stages of life in order to reduce the risk of disability, disease and mental impairment. Through educational and fitness programs, seniors in our community learn to maintain their good health and quality of life.

Older Adult Health Care Coalition
The Older Adult Health Care Coalition began with the identification of a communication gap between long-term care facilities, emergency medical transport teams, and hospital emergency room staffs. A coalition of older adult health care providers was created to address health care needs of older adults and to provide a channel of communication for those who serve them.
