2009 Quest High Performing Hospital
The Premier healthcare alliance developed QUEST: High Performing Hospitals, a dynamic program to help hospitals and healthcare systems attain new performance levels. Building on the success of the Premier/CMS Hospital Quality Incentive Demonstration, the QUEST program seeks to develop next-generations quality, safety and cot metrics with a consistency and standardization that does not exist today. The Institute for Healthcare Improvement is providing technical assistance and improvement expertise.

Stroke Gold Annual Performance Achievement Award from the American Stroke Association.

2008 Top 10 Hospitals in Missouri
St. Joseph Health Center ranked #8 in the top 10 hospitals in Missouri according to rankings released by HealthInsight, a private, non-profit Medicare Quality Improvement Organization which computed hospital rankings by state using publicly reported data downloaded from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital Compare website.

The Premier Award for Quality recognizes leading healthcare organizations that efficiently provide outstanding patient care and consistently set the standard in clinical excellence nationwide.

2005 Missouri Quality Award
The MQA is recognized as one of the strongest state-level quality award programs in the country, and is the official state recognition for excellence in quality leadership. SSM St. Joseph facilities were chosen for the award based on outstanding clinical outcomes, as well as satisfaction of patients, staff and physicians.

2002 Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award
SSM St. Joseph is a member of SSM Health Care, first health care winner of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA).  Congress established the MBNQA in 1987 to recognize U.S. organizations for their achievements in quality and business performance and to raise awareness about the importance of quality and performance excellence as a competitive edge. Winning organizations are considered world-class role models in their industry.

2001 MissouriPro Quality Award
SSM St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO, received the first MissouriPRO Quality Award for achievements in clinical excellence and commitment to quality improvement processes on September 24, 2001, during the MissouriPRO Quality Leadership Conference in St. Louis.  This prestigious award honors one hospital in Missouri for a high level of overall performance in clinical areas designated important by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), formerly Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA).
