SSM St. Joseph Health Center’s extensive Operating Room (OR) renovation project provides a much improved area for physicians, staff and patients.
An advanced vascular suite was added that houses the latest technology for performing complex vascular procedures. Throughout the past two years, six other surgical suites have completely been renovated. The OR now includes a total of ten suites.
Additionally, an expanded neurosurgery room and enhanced rooms with integrated technology provide the perfect environment for surgeons to perform minimally invasive surgical procedures, such as laparoscopic abdominal procedures and gynecological surgeries. The nurse’s station, pre-operative holding bays and sterile processing areas were also renovated to provide a better environment for patients and allow improved workflow for staff. A fully expanded and renovated visitor and family waiting area were also welcome additions to the surgical services department.
