What will my visit cost? 
We accept most major insurance plans. If you are covered by one of these plans, we will bill your insurance and you will pay the typical primary care office visit copay assigned by your insurance. Treatment starts at $46.00. Fees may be higher, depending on additional tests and procedures, as well as the complexity and length of your visit. If you have an insurance plan we do not currently accept, we'll give you a receipt so you can submit for reimbursement if your plan offers out-of-network benefits.

Our Price Menu lists our prices for each procedure, diagnostic test and vaccine so you know what to expect. You must have a valid ID and form of payment with you at time of service. SSM Health Express Clinic at Walgreens accepts most major insurance plans as well as major credit cards and cash. Personal checks are not accepted.

What insurance do you accept?
SSM Health Express Clinic at Walgreens accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. If you have insurance, a hard copy of your insurance card is required at time of service. View a full list of insurance plans we accept.

Do I need to make an appointment?
Appointments are not necessary, but are available for your convenience. Walk-in patients are seen on a first come, first serve basis. Simply walk in, sign in at the touch screen kiosk and a health care provider will be with you shortly. Schedule appointment.

What hours are you open?
Most clinic locations are open Monday – Friday from 9 am – 7:30 pm and Saturday - Sunday 10 am – 4:30 pm with the exception of the Alton and Ferguson clinic locations. The Alton clinic is open Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 6 pm and have standard hours on Saturday – Sunday. The Ferguson clinic is open Monday – Thursday from 9 am – 6:30 pm.

How long is the wait time?
Wait times vary by location, time of day and season. If you prefer to avoid the waiting room, schedule an appointment online.

What type of health care providers work at SSM Health Express Clinic at Walgreens?
SSM Health Express Clinic at Walgreens is staffed by Family Nurse Practitioners who are board-certified and fully licensed to treat patients 2 years and older. All providers are overseen by board certified family medicine and pediatric physicians. Our providers actively listen to each of our patients' concerns, conduct thorough examinations, and provide individualized diagnoses and treatment plans. They can even write prescriptions when clinically appropriate.

What accommodations do you offer for patients with disabilities?
SSM Health Express Clinic offers the following accommodations:

  • For hearing-impaired patients, upon request
    • Diagnosis treatment plans and additional written notes may be printed 711 phone or written letter follow-up communications are available
  • For visually-impaired patients upon request
    • Healthcare providers will read any and all materials to the patient
  • For physically disabled patients
    • Accessible parking spaces are available at all Walgreens Clinic treatment rooms and restrooms are wheelchair accessible
    • Registration kiosks and telephones are at wheelchair height

Can I talk to the health care provider at the clinic?
While our Nurse Practitioners make follow-up calls to patients treated at SSM Health Express Clinic at Waglreens locations in order to check on your well-being, our clinics and providers cannot accept in-coming phone calls. However, our Customer Service Center is available to assist you.

If I was seen at a Healthcare Clinic prior to SSM Health taking ownership, will you still have my patient records?
In order to respect patient privacy, you health care records have remained with Healthcare Clinic whom you chose to provide your care. In the future, you will benefit from SSM Health’s extensive electronic medical record system, which allows for seamless patient care.

To request a copy of your Walgreens Healthcare Clinic medical records, go to Walgreens.com, search “Patient Resources & Forms,” then click on “Release of Information Access Form,” or contact us at 855-WALGREENS (855-925-4733).
