Dr. Colleen Claassen is a Neonatologist at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. She is a member of the SLUCare Physician Group. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics. She is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
Dr. Claassen treats premature and extremely premature infants as well as newborns. She cares for premature and extremely low birth weight infants in Level II-IV neonatal intensive care. She also cares for newborns with congenital cardiac and surgical diseases. She uses the latest technology for respiratory failure and respiratory distress syndrome.
She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She also trains medical professionals in neonatal care in foreign countries.
