Funding Focus: Chapel Renovation
St. Mary’s current chapel dates back to the 1960s and continues to be a physical representation of our heritage – a health care ministry of the Catholic Church. The chapel allows us to minister to the sick and weary, while offering staff and visitors the spiritual support they need.
Through the chapel at St. Mary’s Hospital we have daily Mass and reserve the Eucharist for patients and visitors who want to receive communion. In addition, people are able to pray in the chapel in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. Mass is also broadcast into patient rooms – offering strength and comfort to those who cannot attend Mass in person. What a gift that is to patients and their families as they reflect on health concerns.
Make a Gift or Pledge to support the Chapel Renovation
The chapel at St. Mary’s facilitates our Mission to treat the body, mind and soul. Join us in providing a warmer, more welcoming space for prayer and healing – for our patients, visitors and staff.
It will take gifts of all sizes to fund the renovation – with projected costs of $400,000. If you would like to make a pledge, payments can be spread out over a 4-year period. Gifts can be made in a variety of ways including online. If you’d like to speak to someone about a gift, contact the Foundation staff at 608-258-5600.
A printable pledge form can be downloaded for your convenience.
All benefactors will be recognized for their gifts in displays located in the SSM St. Mary’s Hospital - Madison main lobby and atrium lobby, plus your generosity will be noted in the annual giving report found in our Spring Momentum Newsletter.
