Biography:

An accomplished orthopedic surgeon with SSM Health Bone & Joint/OSOI, Timothy M. Geib, MD is fellowship-trained and board-certified in both orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. He was drawn to orthopedic surgery after sustaining a number of injuries as a child, and he remains fascinated with learning cutting-edge techniques that can help get patients back to a pre-injury level of activity. A central Oklahoma native, he was named “20 Under 40” by the Edmond Business Times and has written multiple articles on arthroscopy that have been published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Arthroscopy. He serves as the team orthopedic surgeon for multiple high schools and universities in addition to the OKC Energy professional soccer team. His philosophy for patient care focuses on collaboration, communicating with patients as if they were his own family members to help arrive at the best decisions together. When not caring for patients, Dr. Geib can be found spending time with his wife and three sons.

Very professional group as I had been told by other patients.

I'm having a very serious problem with a skilled nursing facility I have been residing in for five months as a follow up to Dr. Geibs surgeries. Dr. Geibs office sent me to a rehab place that is not on my provider list with my insurance. I just found out about this a few weeks ago. I have had absolutely no therapy Dr. Geib has repeatedly ordered. The facility is telling me they are not providing therapy unless they get paid. They have even lied to me and told me I have refused rehab. I am just getting weaker, not stronger. Dr. Geib did such a wonderful job with a very different injury and surgery and I dont want to jeopardize any future healing by remaining in a facility that is doing nothing for me. I have researhed my insurance and Childrens Hospital is accepting patients of all ages in their skilled nursing facility for rehab. optimally, I want and more importantly need to go home and do my rehab outpatient as I have a son to care for. I need enough therapy inpatient to be able to transfer from bed to bedside toilet, from bed to wheelchair, and some walking with a walker. My care at my present place is absolute negligence and inexcusable! I plan to discuss this with Dr. Geib during my next visit on July 13th, and expect a plan to be in place to finally start and complete my therapy goals and Go HOME!
