Technology & Teens Youth Lifestyle (TTYL)

Therapy Group Series

This 4-week TTYL Therapy Group Series explores technology use in youth (ages 13-18) in a unique, engaging, and supportive therapeutic environment. Teens will be invited to explore the unique triumphs and challenges from growing up in the heart of social media culture. From harnessing technology for social connection and entertainment to staying ahead of toxic trends, practicing social media self-care, and navigating safe and healthy relationships in a world of constant access and connection. Each week, we will tackle a different technology topic and include opportunities for reflection, discussions, take-home tips, and of course, fun! We will also offer a parents-only group at the end of the series to provide psychoeducation regarding what psychology experts are saying about digital guidelines and promoting safe technology use.

Please note that this is the first time SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital is offering this group. Therefore, depending on the level of interest, we may have to adapt the patient qualifications for the group. We will contact you once the dates, times, and patient group(s) have been identified to let you know whether your teen will be a good fit for this therapy group. Thank you for your understanding.
