Services We Provide
Initial Consultation
At the initial consultation, a psychiatrist or advanced practice nurse meets with the child and family to discuss medical and family history and current concerns. Available treatment options are discussed, and a plan of care is developed with your family.
Consultation Services
Consultation services are available for medical inpatients at the request of a physician.
Medication Management
Medication management includes the use of prescribed medications to reduce psychiatric symptoms and enhance your child’s functioning. The purpose of the medication and potential side effects are reviewed with your family.
Coordination of Care
SSM Health Cardinal Glennon psychiatrists believe in treating the whole child and work closely with others involved in the child’s care. Staff frequently consult with and refer to the Psychology Department for therapeutic services to compliment medication management care.
