Grief Support Group: Walking Through Grief
Grief is natural but can be difficult. Sharing your journey with others experiencing a similar challenge may help you find peace. Join us for “Walking Through Grief,” an education and support group providing resources and encouragement for people grieving the death of a loved one. The group explores the grieving process and ideas for coping and healing, while providing a safe place to share your experiences and questions with others.
Walking Through Grief is an eight-week grief support series open to those ages 18+ who have experienced the death of someone special. Attendance at all sessions is highly recommended. The group is offered free of charge, but space is limited.
Discussion topics include:
- Importance of information and support as we grieve
- Understanding grief as a process
- Identifying and accepting normal feelings while grieving
- Past and present losses
- Factors that complicate grief
- Coping with the stress of grief
- Remembering: memorials and anniversaries
The grief support group meets weekly on Wednesdays during each scheduled series. For more information, please call 608-324-1229.
