Application Process

Thank you for your interest in SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital’s Internal Medicine Residency Program. Applications for the 2021-2022 academic year are only accepted through ERAS.

• Start Date for Submission through ERAS: Sept. 1, 2021
• Start Date for Program Review: Oct. 21, 2021
• Deadline for Program Review: Nov.15, 2021

Positions Offered:

10 PGY-1, all 3-year categorical track (preliminary track is not available)

Requirements:

• USMLE Step 1 Scores: 230 and above.
• USMLE Step 2 Scores: 230 and above
• USMLE Step 2 Clinical Skills: Pass on first attempt
• Visa Sponsorships: Both H-1B and J-1 visas
  • For H-1B visa sponsorships: USMLE Step 3 results must be available by Feb. 1, 2021, in order to be ranked for the Match (no exceptions).
• Medical School Graduation: Within the last 5-7 years.
• ECFMG Certification: Must be received by Match Day to facilitate temporary medical license application to the Missouri Board of Healing Arts.

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis does not offer observer or externship positions.
