Application Details

Every year, the Auxiliary at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital accepts applications from students pursuing careers in health care. This program offers a total of ten (10) scholarships worth $1,500 each, as well as one (1) $1,500 Warren-Hollar Scholarship specifically designated for SSM Health employees or past employees’ children or grandchildren.

What is the student criteria?

A graduating high school senior in good academic standing within SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital’s service area.
Major interest in pursuing a health care career/profession.
Acceptance by an accredited university or college offering educational opportunities in a health care field.

What must be included in the application?

Two (2) letters of reference from a teacher, counselor, employer, supervisor, or minister.
A personal essay stating why you are interested in a particular health related career. Please include the health area that you are interested in. Include volunteer experience, employment experience, any health care certifications, and your dreams for the future.
A copy of your acceptance letter from the educational institution you plan to attend.
An official copy of your high school transcript (seven semesters).
