Childbirth Preparation

Designed to assist women and their partners in preparing for the birth of their baby. Recommended during the second trimester of pregnancy. Includes: coping with labor, relaxation methods, breathing patterns and pain management options. Postpartum adjustment strategies are also explored. A tour of the maternity suites, at the hospital for which you are registered, is included after the completion of the class.

REGISTRATION NOTES:

• Recipients of Missouri or Illinois Medicaid plans must call to register for classes. Inform the operator when calling. 
• SSM Health employees should call to register for classes. Inform the operator when calling.
• SSM Health clinic patients should contact the clinic to request the proper documentation to register for classes. Inform the operator when calling. With the proper claim submitted, some classes are free.
