PGY-2 Critical Care Residency Program: Saint Louis University Hospital

The SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital PGY-2 Critical Care Residency program is an ASHP-accredited, 12-month training program. This program offers residents the opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and philosophical practices expected of a critical care pharmacist at an academic medical center. It emphasizes advanced clinical and leadership skills and helps residents to develop excellent verbal and written communication skills. Residents who take part in the program develop practices that prepare them to provide expertise in intense and time-sensitive situations.

As part of SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital’s training affiliation with St. Louis College of Pharmacy, residents in this program participate in a teaching certificate program (Resident Education Academy), seminar series and resident research conference. They also are involved with precepting Advanced Practice Pharmacy Experience (APPE) students from the local college of pharmacy.
