Anticoagulation Therapy at SSM Health Outpatient Center

The Anticoagulation Therapy services is located within the SSM Health Outpatient Center in St. Charles, off Veterans Memorial Parkway. Once inside the building, take the elevators to the left to the second floor. The practice is located in the Specialty Services suite.

As the building is located on a one-way street, the most convenient way to arrive is by taking the Convention Center exit on Interstate 70 (east or west) and head south at the light. Take the roundabout, following signs for Veterans Memorial Parkway/Interstate 70 East. Stay in the lane for Veterans Memorial Parkway and turn right on Time Center Drive. The Outpatient Center will be on your left. In addition to a parking garage located at the east side of the property, we also offer surface-level parking.

The SSM Health clinical pharmacist team will assist patients in the management of anticoagulation therapy, including warfarin therapy. This service provides patients:

• Blood testing by finger stick
• Immediate INR test results
• Dosage adjustment based on your physician’s INR goal
• Ongoing education about the use of anticoagulant medications, including side effects and potential drug and dietary interactions
• Consultation with a specially trained pharmacist
• Monitored anticoagulation management, including evaluation for side effects and drug and food interactions
• Communication with your physician as needed
• Easy access and a simplified registration process
• Aid patients in navigating Lovenox bridging
