The specialized state-of-the-art Pediatric Clinical Decision Unit (PCDU) is a designated area of the Emergency Department (ED) to serve as an observation unit for children who require further evaluation, testing, or treatment.
The PCDU allows our ER physicians to consult with specialists from SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and lessens the likelihood of families having to travel to St. Louis or other regions for care.
