Emergency Room at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital

SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital offers a new 40,000 sq. ft. Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center that is three times larger to meet the growing critical care needs of 75 outlying partner clinics and nearly 50,000 patients annually, within a 250-mile radius across Missouri and Illinois. The Emergency Room, conveniently located beneath the Operating Room for easier access for our trauma patients, features exam rooms, quick-turn rooms, a behavioral health unit as well as its own designated CT and X-ray machines. The five trauma bays are doubled in size and near the ambulance-only entrance, which features an ambulance bay and helipad.

Patients are encouraged to take Lasalle Street on the north side of the hospital to find the separate entrance and parking for the Emergency Room.
