Helpful Hospital Resources for Your Visit
The chapel at SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital is open 24 hours a day. People of all faiths are welcome to visit for meditation, prayer, and scheduled religious and spiritual health-related programs.
Communion
Communion is distributed to Catholic patients who wish to partake. Patients may also request communion from their personal clergy.
We have chaplains available to offer support and comfort at times of illness, injury and crisis. In keeping with our mission, chaplains honor the sacredness and dignity of all persons at every stage of life, and offer prayer and a listening presence to people of all faith traditions. When requested to do so, spiritual care staff will contact the patient's own clergy.

Healing Spaces
Healing spaces have been incorporated into the hospital for patients and families to seek solitude and comfort. A meditation room and healing garden, near the Emergency Department, are key features, as well as a lot of natural lighting.
The Gift Shop offers a wide variety of items, including flowers, slippers, various gifts, toiletries and much more!

Specialized Care Right in Your Backyard
The facility features 16 private patient rooms — 13 are medical/surgical rooms and three are part of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Surgical services are available on the hospital’s first floor, immediately by the main entrance, and feature three surgical suites and one endoscopic procedure room.
Care at SSM Health Ripon Community Hospital is complemented by hospitalists — physicians that specialize in taking care of patients while they are hospitalized.

We recognized that you are a vital partner in the healing of your loved one and invite you to visit to support their recovery goals.
Since visitors can often be the best medicine for patients, we have open visiting hours (some specialized units of care may have more specific hours for visitors).
- SSM Health has discontinued its universal masking policy.
- Masks are no longer required, with the exception of those who have known or suspected COVID-19 or other upper respiratory symptoms.
- Patients will continue to be screened for upper respiratory symptoms, and masks will be provided for those who need one.
- We support patients and visitors who choose to wear a mask.
Additional hospital visitor guidelines:
- Patients who are COVID-positive, presumptive positive, or under investigation for a COVID infection may have visitors. Please check in with nursing staff before entering the room.
