Inpatient Mental Health Program for Children & Teens

Our physicians understand the uncertainty that can be associated with a mental health diagnosis. This confusion can become even scarier when it’s your child receiving the diagnosis of an acute psychological problem.

SSM Health provides a safe and comforting environment for your child’s inpatient stay. Our providers work with you and your child on identifying, evaluating and treating their mental health diagnosis.

Our Inpatient Environment

We work with children ages 3-12 and adolescents 13-17 in an environment created specifically for their stage of life. Focusing on support, structure and comfort, our facilities and team work to help your child feel comfortable and open to the idea of sharing their feelings.

A key part of your child’s treatment plan focuses on stabilizing any crisis and reintegrating back into the family. Through our careful discharge planning, the treatment team will discuss with you and your family the best resources for follow-up care.
