Larry LeGrand, vice chairman and chief financial officer of Plancorp, LLC, has assumed board chair for the SSM Health Board of Directors. In this role, LeGrand will provide leadership and direction for the organization’s 40,000 employees and health ministries spread across four states. LeGrand succeeds the former chair, David Cosby, who completed his term at the end of 2017 following more than a decade of service to SSM Health.
With more than 35 years of experience in financial planning for corporate executives and business owners, LeGrand is considered one of the most knowledgeable tax professionals in the St. Louis area. He has served as Director of Vi-Jon, Inc.; LaBarge Pipe & Steel; LaBarge, Inc.; Sachs Electric; and Jefferson County Bancshares. Earlier in his career, he served as Chief Financial Officer of LMI Aerospace, Inc. and was a Partner at KPMG.
He has extensive not-for-profit board experience serving Saint Louis University, St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf, Chaminade College Preparatory School, Visiting Nurse Association of St. Louis, Chesterfield Day School, Saint Louis University High School, Visitation Academy, and the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute.
LeGrand received a bachelor's degree in commerce and science from Saint Louis University and is a CPA and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary in Missouri.

LeGrand is also a member of SSM Health Ministries, SSM Health’s sponsoring body responsible for preserving SSM Health’s Roman Catholic identity and serving as liaison to the Vatican.
