MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Midwest is pleased to announce the reopening of SSM Health Wound Care in Midwest City, Okla. Located on the first floor of St. Anthony Hospital - Midwest with its own entrance and dedicated parking, the refreshed clinic is designed to provide convenient local access to high-quality wound care services to Oklahomans living in eastern Oklahoma County and surrounding areas. The clinic will serve both inpatient and outpatient needs for patients seeking treatment for burns, diabetic foot wounds, vascular wounds, non-healing open wounds, complex surgical wounds and many other conditions.

Wound care is the latest of many renovations and advancements going on right now at St. Anthony Hospital - Midwest,” said Dr. Robert Rader, VP, Medical Affairs, SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Midwest. “Each step of wound care is overseen by a power team of two of the metro area’s leading physicians, Dr. Steven Danley and Dr. Caroline Merritt-Schiermeyer – each with more than 20 years of experience – in addition to staff that is dedicated to delivering care that pairs both innovation and compassion in all they do.

Additional improvements include new hyperbaric chamber care, which is a treatment in which the patient breathes 100 percent pure oxygen while inside a pressurized chamber. Hyperbaric therapy can help reduce swelling, fight infection, build new blood vessels and produce healthy tissue.
