LAKE SAINT LOUIS, MO (July 28, 2022) – SSM Health is pleased to announce Deborah Graves as the next President of SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis.

Deborah begins her new role Aug. 15 and joins us from LifeBridge Health, Levindale Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, where she has served as President since 2017. Her career in health care began in 1995 in New Orleans, serving as a clinical coordinator and later as an emergency department nurse. She then served in clinical director roles before becoming CEO of Regency Hospital of Minneapolis in 2005. She continued ascending the executive ranks with stints as Regional Vice President of Kindred Healthcare and Senior Vice President of Benedictine Health System.

Deborah earned bachelor’s degrees in nursing and sociology from Louisiana State University and an MBA in management from the University of New Orleans. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and American Organization of Nurse Executives. Her extensive list of community involvement activities includes board of director roles with the Jewish Federations of North America, Baltimore City Local Health Impact Coalition, and the Maryland Patient Safety Center.

“It is truly an honor to join SSM Health and the team at St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis,” Deborah said. “Mission matters to me and it is humbling to become connected to such a wonderful group of people who believe in our community and are doing what I like to call the ‘Good Work’ – bravely caring for the people around us. There is such an exciting time ahead for St. Joseph Hospital and I am so grateful to have this opportunity to work with you and serve the community together.”

Since Jan. 2022, Rodney Reider has served as Interim President of St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis. He will assume the same role at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for departing President Travis Capers. Rodney will continue to fulfill his duties at St. Joseph Hospital until Deborah’s arrival. He will work closely with campus executive teams at both ministries to provide the necessary support for our patients, communities and team members.

We offer our thanks and gratitude to all these senior leaders for their exceptional service and dedication to the SSM Health healing ministry.
