MT VERNON, IL – SSM Health is honored to announce the SSM Health Wound Clinics in Southern Illinois are recipients of RestorixHealth’s biannual awards. SSM Health Wound Clinic in Mt. Vernon earned the highest achievement, the Wound Center of Excellence Award, and SSM Health Wound Clinic in Centralia earned the Clinical Distinction Award for Hyperbarics. Recipients of these prestigious awards meet or exceed national wound care quality benchmarks over a set period.

The SSM Health Wound Clinics are dedicated to optimizing outcomes and preventing lower limb loss in patients with non-healing wounds. The approach to wound care is aggressive and comprehensive, coordinating traditional and advanced therapies and techniques that are proven to reduce healing time and improve healing rates.
The centers are staffed with clinicians with advanced training in wound care. Integrating a team of wound care professionals optimizes patient care while offering the most advanced healing options.
